Very fun day indeed – here are a few vine’s we took during the day:
Playing badminton
We went to a buffet and jackie may or may not have snuck some treats…
On Monday, I left my apartment to fresh snow and blue skies! Ah, Utah has had the worst air in the nation for the last (feels like ten years) couple of weeks. Even though digging my little Golf out of the snow is a pain, I feel like it’s an appropriate price to pay for clean air and blue skies.
After my internship, J came and got me and we went to J’s favorite restaurant, My Thai. The food there is so good! Jackie always gets the beef basil (super spicy) and I alternate between what I order. Last night I got Tom Kha Gai. MMMM. Delicious mixture of coconut, cilantro, chicken, and spices. Jackie donated plasma earlier in the day and was feeling rather worn out…this meant that she was being hilarious.
Favorite comments from dinner:
“I’m ill” (after dinner was consumed)
“I’m lethar” (short for lethargic)
She makes me laugh cry EVERY.TIME.I.SEE.HER. love you, boo!
Anyways, today I walked out of my apartment to a snow covered golf, again! (strangely I got the same parking spot two days in a row (all the smartcar drivers must be on road trips?!?)).
I really love the snow. I hate driving in it/slipping and falling in it, but it’s so pretty! Campus was gorgeous today.
Today I was walking through the Union and the study abroad fair was going on. Reminded me of last year, when on a whim I wandered in to that same fair and learned all about London. I got super jealous at the thought of new students going on the London study abroad this year. Ahhhhhh.
I LOVE YOU,
B
Hi evvveryone! Here is another installment to J and I’s halloween costumes from years past. This one was just last halloween! We decided to be Wayne + Garth from Wayne’s World because I have dark hair (like Wayne) and J has blonde hair (like Garth).
Anyway, here are some tips/links to help you party on for Halloween 2012:
Wayne:
Dark hair, preferably shoulder length/mullet-y. You can get wigs here (or at any local halloween shop).
Black shirt
Light jeans with holes cut in them (I found an old pair of whitewashed jeans from a thrift store)
Black converse shoes or any black shoes you have
Wayne’s World hat
Garth:
Blonde, shoulder length, poofy hair
Stone/white washed jeans with holes
Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith t-shirt
Blue plaid shirt (over t-shirt, or tied around waist)
Black converse
Watch both movies a few times before Halloween and you’ll be ready!
Party on,
B
Reunited and it feels so good. Love these babes.
Listen to me.
Cheers,
B
My best friend J and I have been Halloween partners in crime since I can remember. As young kids we would do the trick or treating rounds in my neighborhood then reconvene back at my house, stash our candy loot, switch costumes and go out there again.
These last few years have been no different. In 2010 J and I dressed up at Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney from the band The Black Keys. Here are some tips for a quick and easy Halloween costume:
Essentials for Dan:
-Beard (you can purchase one and glue it on, grow one, or draw one on with a brown expo marker)
-Button up jean/flannel shirt
-Guitar (optional)
Essentials for Pat:
-Buddy Holly-esque glasses
–Flannel shirt/band tee
-Drum sticks (optional)
You can also purchase a dress up kit from their website here.
J and I added a “Hello I am” name tag to our get up – and also took around a signed Brothers album poster.
Happy Halloween!
B
