Seriously spoiled.

Today during my lunch break, I went to Alpine Art and picked up my much anticipated birthday present from my mom. IN LOVE. I gave my mom a London calendar for Christmas and she took it and got some of the prints in the calendar framed. They are so beautiful. What a thoughtful mama I have!

After work I went for a little stroll through liberty park on my best scooter of all times, which I bought after reading the scooter reviews on credible websites. It was a very beautiful night! As I was struggling with the thought of exercising (seriously, I am SO lazy) I saw a man in a wheelchair playing TENNIS. He’d hit the ball and then wheel to the other side and pick it up and then hit it again. It was amazing. People are so incredible. Definitely added a little pep and motivation to my step!

That’s Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to you! I pitter puttered around and didn’t change my clocks so I missed dinner at Cari’s house (WHOOPS!) But that’s okay, because I got take out of some corned beef and cabbage from The Dodo. YUMMMMZ:

Spring break day VIII

Today my sissy Jyl shot a video for her upcoming keynote at a genealogy conference. We made my grandma MAS’s famous (in our family, anyway) banana cookies. The video is going to be SO cool. The vibe was so awesome. One of my favorite parts was after we (and be we I mean Jyl and Cari) made the cookies, my sisters and I all huddled together in my grandparent’s living room and listened to a recording of my grandma’s voice. It was really cool/emotional to hear. Can’t wait to see the video.

After the video, we went to Matta’s with my aunts (and new uncle!) and cousins. I sure love them!

Cari and I got a little chatty during lunch and ended up getting to the airport less than an hour before our flight – needless to say we ran through the airport Home Alone style and also needless to say I have shin splints today. (PATHETIC)

Oh, by the way..we made our flight.

Spring break day VII

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I woke up to a million messages and all day I felt so loved!

After I woke up, Cari gave me my birthday present. HOLY SWOON. She gave me Attack & Release on vinyl. Uhm, THANK YOU. She also gave me a spray bottle to use when I do my manicures so that I don’t get little fuzzies anymore. What a thoughtful sissy I have. LOVE YOU.

Cari and I ventured into Phoenix for lunch at this artsy + hip pizza joint. It was SO good. We got a cupcake and it had glitter on it: My birthday - Spring Break Day Six 2013 102
Dinna: Jyl flew into AZ to shoot a video (more on that tomorrow). I love my sissy’s! Missed Mom, Dad, Meli + Markie this trip.
But, I still felt like they were there (especially piggy) with us in spirit!Thanks for all of the birthday wishes and love! I am a lucky girl.

Spring break day VI

Today J left and Cari arrived! I had so much fun with Jackie – she’s the greatest and I may or may not have shed a few tears when she departed! I really enjoyed spending time with my bestie.
