The time has come. After a year+ living in this crazy city that never sleeps I am heading home to my roots. Don’t worry, I have already been asked dozens of times: “why on earth are you leaving the greatest city in the world?”. Simple answer: I am following my heart and heading back west to be closer to my family. But not before I have a crazy weekend of fun and NY debauchery.
And it was during the summer solstice of 2014 that I found myself on a lower east side rooftop with Masha and Dev enjoying the views and the music.
Finding our way out, Masha & I enjoyed the deliciousness that is Kat’z Deli. Then we rested and digested in the park that Miranda and Steve were married in:
Had to make one last illegal pit stop on Carrie’s stoop before I go:
Then it was bars and Artichoke Pizza before retiring for the evening:
Oh, and don’t forget let me forget this:
GOING OUT WITH A BANG,

Dear Pops,
Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I love you and all the things you do. I am grateful to have such a tough cookie as a pop, who loves me and supports me and my crazy dreams, and even helps me check off bucket list items like traveling to Maine.
You will be getting this card in the mail about two weeks too late. But hey, the cuteness is worth it.
Loves,
Peanut
Well I feel sheepish
Today I took the crosstown M86 bus to the west side and met Lauren for our adventure into the beautiful NY city/town of Riverdale. The subway went above ground towards the last few stops – and it was SO pretty to see out. We went and met up with Masha to go swimming at her pool! First off, look at this beautiful view from her house:
RIGHT?
Anyways, I haven’t been swimming for such a long time – I was SO excited.
Look at all those rays.
After spending some time working on our freckle collections, we headed back into the city for a delicious dinner at Dafni. Their food is so good! If you’re ever in the area, I recommend trying their gyro with rice. Also, their greek fries with feta – to.DIE.for. Would recommend their gigantes too – light and fresh. Yum! Drooling on my computer just remembering.
After dinner we rushed over (slowly though cause we really packed in those greek fries) to see Aladdin on broadway. My favorite Disney movie of all time! AHHHHH. Sadly the night we chose to attend, the Tony winning Genie was off (RUDE). I am more of a Robin Williams Genie fan.
Intermission selfie!
The magic carpet was my favorite:
What a fun night!

Happy Friday the 13th, you creeps
Things were definitely off..like for instance..
Feeling superstitious this 13th cause the full elevator I was in this am went straight to my floor without stopping. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED

I mean, who else thought it was weird that they let Litchfield inmates serve free pies via a decked out Crazy Pies food truck?
And who let all these bitches out to tour around New York?
Strange day indeed. I hope you all stayed inside and held your seances or whatever you hipsters are doing these days in peace.
