Was so happy to hear from my dear friend Jes on sunday inviting me to her beautiful house to make some pies! I was glad to have Jes reading the instructions and leading me along the way… I wanted to make my crust super pretty! So we rolled the top layer out and cut them into small strips to then lattice the crust (basically a baking pro now). Viola! I MADE THAT:
Then it was off to the McBrides for dinner and a viewing party of Miss America:

I am soooo sad that Kira is passing on the crown to another lucky lady. She was such an amazing National Goodwill Ambassador for CMN Hospitals! The pageant was fun to watch with these Queens:
